India National Cricket Team Vs Bangladesh National Cricket Team

First Test between India and Bangladesh: Jaiswal and Rahul out in quick succession.
Hasan Mahmud takes all four important wickets and hits deliveries that Indian right-handers just can't seem to play.

At Chennai's MA Chidambaram Stadium, Bangladesh chose to bowl first after winning the toss in the first match of the two-Test series. After dominating the series earlier this year, the two countries square off against one another. At home, India had trounced England 4-1, while in an away series, Bangladesh had whitewashed Pakistan 2-0.

Nahid Rana dismissed Yashwaswi Jaiswal when the ball went past his bat and into Shadman Islam's clutches at first slip. Jaiswal led India's batting in the innings. Jaiswal's 56 off 118 helped boost India's total despite a rocky start.

In short succession, KL Rahul was also removed after Jaiswal was removed from the game. Rahul was dismissed for 16 runs off 52 balls after Zakir Hasan made a superb catch in the short leg on Mehidy Hasan's ball. Shortly after the game restarted after lunch, Rishabh Pant was removed despite the Indian team's best efforts to rebuild their innings. Early in the Chennai Test, Bangladesh withdrew Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. In the first of the two-Test series, India lost to 34-3 after choosing to bat.

Pant made 39 points off of 52 balls. As the ball barely left Pant's bat and made it into the wicketkeeper's hands, he was dismissed. Having taken all four of the vital wickets of Bangladesh's captain Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, and Pant, Hasan Mahmud has been a huge asset to the team.

With an off-stump delivery that struck the outside edge and sent the ball straight to Bangladeshi captain Najmul Hossain Shanto's fingers at the second slip, Hasan dismissed the Indian captain. Mahmud dismissed Gill for a golden duck as wicketkeeper Litton Das dove to his left to make the catch, continuing his run of wickets.

The brilliant Hasan Mahmud removed Kohli from the game after he mishandled his drive from a wide of the off stump ball and it flew straight into the gloves of the keeper. 168-6 was India's score after 46 overs.
