Southampton Vs Man United

After a goal, Ten Hag supports Rashford as a "ketchup bottle."

After the striker scored in the victory over Southampton, Marcus Rashford's manager at Manchester United, Erik ten Hag, claimed that the striker had been subjected to "too much negativity" lately and that the goals would come easily.

It was his first goal in any competition since the FA Cup victory over Liverpool in March, when he scored four goals. Ten Hag felt that Rashford, 26, was unfairly criticized for his performance in the Premier League game that ended in a 3-0 loss to Liverpool at home right before the international break.

The Manchester United manager stated, "It's crucial that we ignore what the outside world is saying, but there was too much negativity toward him."

In that game (the loss to Liverpool), he produced two excellent opportunities; otherwise, this season, he has performed admirably. "He had to struggle for that goal [against Southampton], but he deserved it. He is acting in that manner, and you will be rewarded for it." After nearly ten years with Manchester United, Rashford has tallied 132 goals for the team.

Ten Hag, who used a comparison already made by Cristiano Ronaldo, is supporting the 26-year-old to score a lot more goals for the team of his youth. outside "Once a striker was talking about a ketchup bottle, once it's going, it’s coming more," said the Dutchman.

"He has already scored a great deal of goals for Manchester United." It's incredible how many goals he's scored at his age, and I have no doubt that he will score many more."
