Zimbabwe Vs Gambia

The most costly! With his horrific period against Zimbabwe, Musa Jobarteh of the Gambia sets an undesirable record.

In the ICC Men's T20 World Cup Africa Sub Regional Qualifier B match against Gambia, Zimbabwe amassed a record total in T20Is thanks to Sikandar Raza's 133 not out off just 43 balls, which included 15 sixes.

The previous best of 314/3 by Nepal versus Mongolia in 2023 was surpassed by Zimbabwe's 344/4 score. Earlier this month, they made 286/5 against Seychelles, which put them in the top five. India had made the list a week earlier after defeating Bangladesh with an incredible score of 297/6.

With Dion Myers' 96 against Rwanda last night being their best score to date, Raza's century is the first by a Zimbabwean player in men's Twenty20 Internationals. In men's T20Is, he tied for fourth place with 15 sixes.

Raza's century was the second-fastest hundred in men's Twenty20 Internationals, coming off just 33 balls. The record is held by Sahil Chauhan of Estonia, who accomplished the feat in just 27 balls. Additionally, earlier in 2024, Jan Nicol Loftie-Eaton of Namibia had scored a ton off just 33 balls.

During their innings of 314/3 last year, Nepal made 26 sixes against Mongolia; in contrast, Zimbabwe's innings included 27 sixes, the most ever recorded in a men's T20I.
