Al Nassr Vs Al Qadsiya

Only Cristiano Ronaldo can succeed! Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scores the game-winning goal for Al-Qadsiyah, canceling out the Al-Nassr star and further undermining Saudi Pro League title aspirations.

The title aspirations of Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr were severely damaged after Al-Qadsiyah defeated them 2-1 thanks to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's goal.

Stefano Pioli's team got off to a fast start, pinning the visitors in their own half from the first whistle in front of a boisterous home crowd. They were deliberately attacking Al-Qadsiyah's defense, and it appeared that they would soon take advantage of one of their numerous opportunities. When Belgian goalkeeper Koen Casteels was ultimately unable to save a basic cross from the right wing due to the constant pressure, Ronaldo made him pay a heavy price by diving in at the last second.

After falling behind, the visitors surprisingly found their footing and found Julian Quinones to equalize in just five minutes. Nawaf Boushal committed the second defensive mistake by failing to evaluate the flight after Sultan Al-Ghannam had allowed Turki Al-Ammar to float in a cross at the far post. This gave Quinones plenty of time and space to bounce the ball down and fire a shot that was beyond Bento's grasp.

After the interval, the visitors maintained their dominance, and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang gave them the lead five minutes after play resumed. Quinones put the former Arsenal player on a platter when Boushal was once again caught dozing off, and he headed home into a gaping goal without making a mistake. Al-Qadsiyah had chances to extend their lead even after they took it, but they did not retreat into their shell.

Al-Nassr appeared lifeless and lacked the momentum that would have saved a point. They missed Talisca's dashes behind the defense and his chemistry with Ronaldo, so his absence was noticeable. Aside from scoring the opening goal, the Portuguese player barely affected the game, which would have kept his club from losing in the league for the first time this season. As a result, he had a very anonymous evening.

With a goal and an assist, Quinones, an Al-Qadisyah striker, stole the show. The Colombian was in the right place at the right time for the first goal, and his acrobatic assist to Aubameyang was a feature reel moment.

Ronaldo and company will play Al-Gharafa away from home in the AFC Champions League on Monday after suffering a defeat in the local league that saw them fall six points behind leaders Al-Hilal.
