India Vs Australia

Rohit will go to Australia on November 24 to join the Indian team.

Prior to the Adelaide Test, India's Test captain will participate in a two-day pink-ball tour match in Canberra.

Prior to the day-night Test in Adelaide, Rohit Sharma will participate in the two-day pink-ball tour match in Canberra starting on November 30. He is scheduled to join the Indian team in Australia on November 24. Due to the birth of his second child, the India Test captain was unable to attend the first Test in Perth. At the Optus Stadium, vice captain Jasprit Bumrah will skipper the squad in Rohit's absence. "Earlier," Bumrah stated during his news conference on the eve of the first Test in Perth, "I spoke with Rohit." "But I got a little bit of clarity on leading the side after coming in here."

The India team, who would need to rely on a few benchwarmers for the series opener in Perth, will benefit from Rohit's comeback. Given that the hosts are expected to include some international players and Test aspirants, Rohit and the Indians may benefit much from the two-day pink-ball match against the Prime Minister's XI at the Manuka Oval.

Traditionally a limited-overs match, the Prime Minister's XI fixture has featured a four-day match in 2022 (which was also a day-night match) against the West Indies and a two-day play against Pakistan in 2023. However, the India match has been shortened to two days. After recently scoring just 91 runs at an average of 15.16 in six innings against New Zealand at home, Rohit will be looking to go back to his previous level of play.

In March 2022, India defeated Sri Lanka by 238 runs in their most recent day-night Test match at Bengaluru. India collapsed for 36 in their second innings during their most recent day-night Test match at the Adelaide Oval, but they recovered magnificently to win the series 2-1.
