The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 mega auction is now occurring in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The IPL 2025 auction, which will take place over two days in the Abady Al-Johar Arena, will allow the ten IPL clubs to establish their squads for the next three seasons. The IPL super auction, held every three years, allows teams to reshape their rosters and, if desired, start over. At the IPL 2025 auction, the ten cricket clubs will aim to fill 204 slots, including 70 for foreign players, from a pool of 577 cricketers, 367 Indians and 210 overseas players.

The minimum base price for a player in the IPL 2025 super auction is ₹30 lakh, while the maximum base price is ₹2 crore. The Lucknow Super Giants paid ₹27 crore for Rishabh Pant during the IPL 2025 auction, making him the most expensive player in IPL history. Punjab Kings paid ₹26.75 crore for Shreyas Iyer, who temporarily held the record.
