Tilak Varma needed just 51 balls to reach his first century in Twenty20 Internationals.
At the SuperSport Park in Centurion on Wednesday, during the third Twenty20 International of their four-match series between India and South Africa, Tilak Varma made his move to number three matter by smashing an incredible unbeaten 107 off 56 balls, his first century in Twenty20 Internationals.
Varma took the attack right away after being brought on to bat in the opening over on a two-paced wicket. When he faced a favorable matchup, he increased the ante by smashing eight fours and seven sixes in his 107 not out, making him the second youngest Indian batter and the 12th overall to reach 100 in men's Twenty20 Internationals.
